Research On The Function Of Ideological And Political Education From University Libraries

Ideological and Political Education is one of the most important part education in universities, effective coordination with various departments of universities are required by Ideological and Political Education of university students, University library is a major source of information, students access to knowledge, culture, thoughts and others. Study on the function of Ideological and Political Education from university libraries, it is important to broaden the ways of ideological and political education and train qualified new era of university students.First, paper analyzed the features and advantages of ideological and political education of the University Library; secondly, analyzed the current situation of ideological and political education of the current library by using a questionnaire survey, and took the library of Southwest University of Science and Technology as an example to analyze, established an index system to evaluate the status of ideological and political education of library, finally, an analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the index weight of indicators proposed by library evaluation model based on the ideological and political function extension theory; and finally, from a focus on Library of ideological and political education, pay attention to the library software and hardware construction, pay attention to other aspects of library practice to explore effective measures to exert its functions.The function of ideological and political education from library is to expand the library, with its unique educational features, the university library should be fully aware of the importance of ideological and political education, take practical measures to fulfill its role of ideological and political education, there are realistic and positive significance for this research to define and evaluate the function ideological and political education from university library and improve its level.
