Junior high school is an important period of youth development in transition period.In this period,teenagers should not only adapt to the problems of interpersonal relationship and self cognition caused by the rapid development of body and mind,but also face the great pressure of heavy schoolwork.Many challenges and great pressure are easy to make young people meet setbacks and difficulties.Whether they are brave to face setbacks and how to resist setbacks correctly have a direct impact on the healthy development of teenagers.But at the present stage,the research on young people is mainly related to interpersonal communication and self-management,and the use of professional methods in social work is relatively small.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,related concepts,research methods and related research status of the application of group work in promoting young people's frustration tolerance.The second part is based on the relevant experts and scholars at home and abroad to study the frustration tolerance level of young people in China,and the author investigated and analyzed the basic situation of frustration tolerance in X junior middle school by questionnaire and interview.From the six dimensions of frustration tolerance,statistics show that the overall frustration tolerance level of junior high school students is at a medium upper level,but some students have a low level of resistance to frustration.The third part is the author from the perspective of social work professional intervention in youth frustration endurance training content.The author uses the method of group work to carry out six group activities of"sunshine growth with me" frustration tolerance promotion for young people with low frustration,from six aspects:positive frustration cognition,negative frustration cognition,emotion regulation,others support,physiological factors and personality characteristicss,using scenario simulation,role playing and group games to enable young people to understand setbacks.It also provides a correct way to deal with setbacks for adolescents at junior high school level.The fourth part uses the satisfaction questionnaire,interview group members and important others to evaluate the youth frustration tolerance team work.The last part is to observe the social workers' record of activities by observing the group project of "sunshine accompanying me growth" frustration tolerance,and draw relevant conclusions,and put forward the suggestions on group work intervention in improving youth's frustration tolerance.
