Community life is of vital significance for the individual, as people are unable to escape the field of life while a new foothold of various affairs. Along with the economic reform and social transformation, as the basic unit of urban social life, community life plays a prominent role in our city. In addition to that relying on scientific and technological matters to control the environment, community residents’ participation has become a mainstream solution to solve the problem of environment. Environmental protection education should start from the general public into the community; it has become the trend in Nowadays. So, as a social worker, if you want to do a good job in ecological construction, we need to understand the relationship between ecological environment and human beings first, and then, combine with an actual local situations, formulate and improve ecological protection scheme, use the mass media, social net working sites, such as propaganda, actively mobilize the whole people to participate in an ecological construction, set up the green ecological conception and consciousness,people should actively take part in community environmental protection activities, Therefore, social work for the influence on community residents’environmental awareness and behavior issues are involved in the research topic, which mainly through literature research participant observation and questionnaire and experimental approach, by means of growth group for intervention, studied on the community residents whose environmental awareness and behavior belongs to the weak part. Thus, we draw a conclusion that social work intervention has a positive impact on the community residents to participate in environmental protection consciousness and behaviors.First of all, the author takes the non-probability sampling method, through the community residents environmental awareness and behavior questionnaire, we select the residents who has the peak point (below70points) of environmental awareness and behaviors in M community as the main object, the tested group is divided into male and female, and then, through sample random sampling method, respectively from the men and women of each extra10. Thus, from these20residents constituted the study sample, and then, classify the experimental group and the control group, the group of10community residents as growth group is called "the green space". To carry out a period of2months,7times of group activities, otherwise, the control group did not take any interventions. At the end of7times in group activities, with adjusting the modified the community residents "environmental awareness and behavior questionnaire" for the experimental group and control group respectively. To sum up: Firstly, the growth group has a significant effect on improving the ability of community residents about their environmental awareness and behavior, the pre-test and post-test data shows that the growth group (in experimental group) for community residents environmental awareness and behavior has a positive function.Secondly, the professional values of social work (respect, acceptance, equality, understanding) in the process of growth group application could effectively promote the harmonious team atmosphere among members in order to achieve the desired goal of the experiment.Thirdly, the conception of ecological advocated the professional social work theory and values can help environmental NGO earned more theoretical support and change the working method, help to improve the community residents environmental protection consciousness and behavior improvement, in turn contributing to community residents to make a concern on community environment.
