Leisure sports is an important part of leisure activities.It is the important way to take part in leisure activities and realize the purpose of leisure, it is important to improve people’s health and promote the comprehensive development. City provides the necessary condition of leisure sports activities meet the people’s demand to participate in leisure sports activities.The development of leisure sports industry also can promote actively the city’s economy, culture and education.The leisure sports industry has become a new growth point of driving the development of urban economy. In October2012, Qingdao acquire the2015world leisure sports meeting.It is a good opportunity to develop the leisure sports industry.To research the path of the development of leisure sports industry in Qingdao has a positive theoretical significance and practical significance for the development of leisure sports industry, the industrial structure optimization and the interaction between the leisure sports industry in Qingdao and the urban comprehensive constructionResearch on the development path of leisure sports industry in Qingdao,using the methodology of literature, field investigation, expert interview and logic analysis, to define the concept of leisure sports industry, point out the practical significance to develop leisure sports industry in Qingdao, analyze the existing foundation and insufficiency of developing leisure sports industry in Qingdao, propose the thinking of leisure sports industry development in Qingdao, for make a suggestion for the path choice of leisure sports industry in Qingdao. The results show that:(1) Leisure sports industry is to provide recreational sports products and services for public, and it is a collection of all economic activities in the process to provide leisure sports products and services. It has important practical significance for Qingdao to accelerate the development of sports industry, optimize the industrial organization; promote the blue economic zone construction, rich brand image and improve people’s quality of life, promote the comprehensive development.(2) Qingdao has the superiority in condition of the development of leisure sports industry,such as, recreational resources, mass base, game brand, economic basis, the policy environment, etc. At the same time, it also has certain problems:imbalance of leisure sports industry structure, unbalanced development in various regions,product homogeneity in surrounding areas, lack of core competitiveness and professionals.(3) Qingdao leisure sports industry development should be under the guidance of the guiding ideology, adhere to the four principles:the leisure sports industry development in Qingdao promote the sustainable development of Qingdao, build regional and industry characteristic with the guide of the market demand, promote coordinated development of leisure sports industry and other industries, promote the leisure sports industry development and leisure sports culture construction. The strategic planning for the development of leisure sports industry in Qingdao can be divided into four stages beginning, development, prototype and mature. It is currently in development period, it should be gradual and sustained development.
