Along with the reformation and development of China higher education, higher education is striding forward object popularization, body diversification and operation marketization. The student resource, employment and teacher resource competition between universities is more and more fierce, higher school’s operation mechanism also begins to have some characteristics of enterprise operation. Therefore, Application of marketing strategies to improve competitiveness of colleges and universities and Shaping the brand image is more and more necessary. Vocational education in China’s education development course of life is short, in the vulnerable groups in the competition, the society don’t know much about it, does not pay enough attention, competitive environment has become more intense. In order to better show the charm of Vocational Education and have better development in the society and market, it necessary to establish and implement marketing strategies in related work.LanZhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology is a higher vocational college belonged to GanSu province. With the increase of the number of higher vocational colleges, the phenomenon of professional convergence, homogeneity serious, brand effect is not obvious, poaching of talented student etc. is appeared. LanZhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology also has encountered many problems in development process. Introduce the marketing concept and explore the suitable marketing strategy play an important role in enhance its market competitiveness and solve the problems emerged in the development.This paper from the education industry environment analysis, analyzed the necessity and importance of marketing for schools. The analysis of Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology from five aspects: the basic situation, the macro environment, industry environment, own ability, SWOT analysis. The paper presents to explore the marketing strategies and implementation measures of Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology from four aspects: target market marketing strategy, internal marketing in teacher construction, relationship marketing in public communication and brand marketing in admittance publicity, to promote the development of its better.
