Communicative teaching focuses on the respect for people, especially for the students.Based on this teaching philosophy, students, who can think independently and have the right to express their opinions, are equal to teachers instead of being subordinate to teachers as passive receivers of education. Therefore, the teaching process is not an equal interaction between teachers and students. In the class of Politics in middle school, communicative teaching is indispensable, which reflects the respect and equality between teachers and students. It also improves the teaching efficiency and quality. However, currently, the interaction in class tends to be ignored. What are the reasons for this phenomenon? This paper intends to explore how to make the students owners of education by employing communicative teaching, as well as make the subject of Politics in middle school better relate to students’ experience. The author of this paper focuses on the definition of teaching, and the application of communicative teaching in the class of middle school students. Besides, the strategy about how to apply communicative teaching in class, along with students’ feedback about this kind of teaching is covered in this paper. By discussing the basic form of communicative teaching, as well as the interactive between teachers and students, students and students, students and texts, the author intends the paper to help improve students’learning ability and cultivate civil citizens.
