Following the global economic crisis starting from end2008, here comes the debt crisis for the world’s major economies-European sovereign debt. The world’s major developed economies have showed little recovering strength, which lead to stagnant economic growth and decreased demand for commodities. However, the world’s emerging economies, especially China have showed robust economic growth. From the year of2006, China has become the largest copper consuming country in the world, China consumed7.6million tons of copper in2010, which represents40%of total consumption for the whole world.Company A is the9th largest copper and copper concentrate producer in the world, and headquartered in Poland. Though the overall global economy become weakening, which has imposed negative impact on world’s market. However, China’s economy shows robust growing strength, which stimulates strong demand for commodities. Under this situation, Company A has planned to enter China’s market and develop its copper concentrate business. In recent years, Company A’s newly increased capacity is100thousand tons of copper concentrate, which has been put into production step by step. In case Company A couldn’t successfully develop China’s market, it will be a big challenge regarding how to absorb the increased capacity. Company A has not obtained in-depth understanding and adequate experience in terms of developing China’s market, in this case, what kind of tactics should Company A take to secure successful growing of concentrate business in China? Based on relevant theories learned from MBA studies, the paper delivered the author’s personal opinions and views through the analysis on external and internal environments of Company A.The paper’s research subject focused on how Company A can open China’s market for Company A’s copper concentrate. The writer applied marketing theories learned from MBA studies to the research, and made analysis on both external and internal environments of company A, then combined with company A’s vision statement and finally determined company A’s tactics for China market.This paper mainly adopted quantitative and qualitative methodologies for the analysis. The major tools used are PEST model, five force model, EFE matrix and IFE matrix and SWOT.
