One important part of modern enterprise management is corporation culture construction which plays an active role for an enterprise to change ideas and improve management level. Since1990’s when known at home, it has increasingly attracted managers’attention and led them to accept the idea that corporation culture is a decisive force in future competitions. With the development of economic globalization and being faced with more complicated competitive environment, managers are paying more and more attention to the fact that the key competition ability of an enterprise can be strengthened by constructing corporation culture. Therefore, it is a universally significant subject that how contemporary theories on corporation culture both at home and abroad could be applied to the culture construction in Chinese corporations, and how, according to their own characteristics, to construct corporation cultures which will serve their development strategy.This thesis took the corporation culture construction of Handan Power Supply Corporation as its research object, studying its content, implementation process and effects with reference to related theories and concepts. It concluded the corporation’s specific methods in constructing its culture, and achieved valuable construction experience, which was expected to have reference significance for other corporations. Meanwhile, with an analysis of the internal and external management environment of the corporation, the thesis pointed out some existing problems in its culture construction and put forward suggestions for its following work emphasis.The thesis consists of six parts. The first part presents the object explored in this thesis. In the second part, the contents, structure, effects, methods and steps of corporation culture are introduced. The third part discusses the basic situation, the main content, the construction process and the operation mode in Handan Power Supply Corporation. The following part gives a detailed explanation of how Handan Corporation practices its culture, listing the typical case of "concentric circles" and the mode of "1+6", by which its culture is carried out in basic units. The fifth part gives an introduction of the effects of constructing corporation culture in the Corporation and an analysis of new challenges and, then, points out work emphasis while constructing corporation culture. The last part, a conclusion of the thesis.From the research of the corporation culture construction at Handan Power Supply Corporation gained are the following enlightenments:adhering to the "human-oriented" principle, paying more attention to the importance of "all staff involvement", putting emphasis on the task of molding core values, and implementing its culture in such methods as setting a model, carrying out various activities, making use of management systems, finding a help from offices of the Party and mass and so on. The research also reveals how corporation culture plays its role in enterprise management:a great improvement in a corporation results from encouraging its staff to work harder by meeting the staff’s reasonable needs and reaching the psychological contract between the corporation and its staff.
