Research On Wind Power Project Valuation Method

The investment is a prerequisite for the development of any industry. A basic part of the investment activities is to assess the value of the project. This paper conducted an investigation on the valuation practice in international acquisitions business of the wind power project. From the promotion of wind power generation healthy and rapid development point of view, it has analyzed the valuation method of current domestic and international wind power project. Pointed out that the domestic and foreign investors’different choice of valuation method in the wind power project, and thus the impact brought about by them on the acquired business of wind power projects. In this paper, by researching and comparative analysis of the particularity of wind power projects in the operating wind power projects, constructing wind power projects and programming wind power projects, research the applicable method of valuation of wind power projects at different stages and give a set of recommendations in the choice of the method of valuation. From a macro point of game theory is introduced into the wind power project valuation methodology put forward the concept of the strategic value of wind power projects that the total value of wind power projects in addition to the static value of the often mentioned micro and option value, it should also include the strategic value of the macro aspects. As a result, the total value of the wind power project consists of three parts, the static value, option value and strategic value, in order to get a new perspective to examine the value of wind power projects. This article uses the dynamic programming method to calculate the strategic value of wind power projects. Calculated that wind power has a high strategic value, investors examine the effectiveness of wind power projects, not only need to consider the value of wind power projects in their own value and the additional flexibility options, but also from the competitive point of view to assess its strategic value, so that investment decisions more scientific, accurate and reliable.
