Shanghai Industrial Structure Adjustment And The Labor Demand Analysis

This study is based on the current levels of economic development, the industrial structure and " The12th Five-Year Plan " industrial structure adjustment of the demand for labor, and it analyzes the industrial structure adjustment trend and discusses the future development of Shanghai economy of the demand for labor in the future.According to the analysis, Shanghai has now into the postindustrial society, and has formed industrial development "the321" structure.<The12th Five-Year Plan of Shanghai national economic and social development> maintains the steady growth of economy and gives priority to the service economy. The Shanghai urban planning (1999-2020) also points out the important to adhere to the "321" policy, and gives priority to the development of top service and high-tech industry. Since2011, Shanghai’s economic development present new changes:slow growth, optimal structure. and tertiary industry is the main impetus.As the most developed city, its main sources of labor force have two sources: permanent population and floating population. With registered permanent residents declining population and immigration increase, foreign labor have played more and more important role in Shanghai’s economic development. Floating population added natural increase and labor shortage.Shanghai adjustment of industrial structure has two influences, one is decreasing demand for low-quality labor, and the other is increasing demand for high-quality labor. But at present labor supply and demand is not to match:the adequate labor force supply and the lack of qualified labor force.Based on the research of industrial structure adjustment and labor supply environment analysis, the paper predicts the future of the labor demand scale using employment flexibility, and concludes the2011to2020total labor demand and different industries labor demand. According to the forecast, the next10years to the total amount of Shanghai labor demand is increasing. Based on Shanghai industrial structure adjustment of the demand for labor, this study predicts the amount of labor and attempt to provide some references for the population policy.
