In today’s society of the increasingly severe changes, with the diversification ofcustomer needs in the market, the increasing personalization, and growing uncertainty, theenterprises becomes to turn their attention from producing and manufacturing to technologicalinnovation. Through numerous attempts we find that due to the late start of the manufacturingcompanies in China, these enterprises are still relatively weak in innovation capability and brandmanagement, at this stage in order to gain core competitiveness in the market, it is necessary toobtain higher profits by reducing costs. Since the reform and opening up, companies have tobreak the original rest on its laurels and fragmented situation into members of the supply chainwhich is formed from the manufacturing process between raw materials to finished products inthe related enterprises. It includes supply suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and endcustomers. In order to have a fast and accurate response to customer demand and improve thelevel of customer service, it is necessary to strengthen the close cooperation between themembers of the supply chain. The inventory is a key link for the supply, production andmarketing, then, supply chain management is good or bad depends largely on the level ofinventory management control. Therefore, how to improve the level of inventory managementand control in uncertain environments in order to reduce inventory costs is the key to enterprisecore competitiveness.Through the foundation about the current situation of company H, such as mainly overstock,serious waste of resources, arbitrary experience in inventory management and the unbalancebetween program scheduling and production capacity, the inconsistency between the manualaccount and actual objects in warehouse, the seriously huddle and misplacing about materials,the casual picking materials and the general lacks in pieces of products, combined with thesummary inventory management theory and inventory control models, JMI JIT, Kanbanmanagement, ABC classification, EOQ model, security inventory model, and so on, are applied in this paper. A more complete inventory optimization program is formed by means of statisticalanalysis, inventory optimization measures from qualitative and quantitative inventoryoptimization program, the storage process optimization and warehouse management programsaimed at improving the level of Company H inventory management and inventory control skillsfor maintaining the long-term competitive advantage in the OTIS many suppliers.Because different enterprises need different inventory control methods, I hope this researchcan give good reference to manufacturing enterprises with the same characteristics.
