As competition of market increasingly today, effects organizational health statusmakes to employee behaviour are more and more important. However, in many cases, many companies do not associate the overall organizational situation with employee’sbehavior effectively, which leds to employee silence when they are focusing ondevelopment for enterprises, that is to say, they make their true thoughts retained andhided. Therefore, it is necessary to research the relationship between organizational healthand employee silence.Since Morrison and Milliken (2000) put forward the concept of employee silence, scholars at domestic and overseas have become focus on the antecedent factors of it. Andstudies found that the factor of organizational level is one of the important factors thatresult in employee silence. While organizational health researches which stem fromemployee health researches at abroad showed that organizational health makes effects toemployee’s behavior such as mental health, job satisfaction, and employee silence is oneof the employee’s behaviors which exist in enterprises generally. Based on this, we chosethe “organizational health” variable, and tried to analysize the relationship betweenorganizational health and employee silence. Firstly, we reviewed and summarizedrelevant literatures about organizational health and employee silence, put forward fourresearch hypothesises, constructed model of theoretical research. Secondly, we modifiedthe initial scales based on the data from the small sample, and provided thatorganizational health contains four dimensions named as economic dimension, internalprocesses dimension, learning and growthing dimension, and external customerdimensions, employee silence contains three dimensions named as disregardful silence, acquiescent silence, defensive silence based on the data from the big sample. Finally, thepaper analyzed on the conditions of three kinds of organizational health named "good","general" and "poor" effects that gender, marriage, age, educational background andproperty of enterprise make to employee silence. At the same time, we used correlationanalysis and regression analysis to explore the relationship between organizational healthand employee silence.Through the empirical analysis, main conclusions are as follow:①on the conditionof organizational health "good", employee silence has no significantly difference fromgender, marriage, age, educational background and property of enterprise.②On the condition of organizational health "general", disregardful silence has significantdifference on age and education background, acquiescent silence has significantdifferences on marriage and property of enterprise, and gender has no effects to employeesilence.③On the condition of organizational health "poor", disregardful silence hassignificant difference on education background, gender, marriage, age and property ofenterprise have no effects to employee silence.④Organizational health and its fourdimensions are negatively related to employee silence and its each dimension.⑤Organizational health has significant negative effects to employee silence. Thereinto, learning and growthing dimension、eonomic dimension and internal process dimensionhave significant negative effects to disregardful silence, learning and growthingdimension has significant negative effects to acquiescent silence, external customerdimension and learning and growthing dimension have significant negative effects todefensive silence. This study draws the conclusion, ananlyzes its shortcomings and points out theprospects of studies in the future, and it provides the derection for the relevant follow-upstudies.
