Performance is one of the important factors that determine the survival and development of an enterprise.Thus,enterprises' leaders must lay emphasis on this problem and lay emphasis on how to increase their performance effectively.The dynamic environment requires each member of an enterprise to take the initiative to management decision.However,the phenomenon of employees keeping silence has appeared repeatedly in the reality of enterprise management.The employees keep silent during work,which reduces their enthusiasm and initiative.As a result of that,it finally affects the effectiveness of the enterprise's decision.Therefore,in modern enterprises,how to reduce or even eliminate this kind of unfavorable silence for the company,stimulate the vitality of enterprises,and improve performance has become important issues in the current business management.This thesis is focused on studying the relationship between silence and performance.The performance will be divided into three parts: organizational performance,team performance and employee performance.The present study starts with employees' silence and leadership silence to explore the influence of employees' silence,leadership silence,and organizational silence on performance.Firstly,based on literature review,the relevant theory of organizational silence and performance will be summarized.The research hypothesis and research model will be proposed by taking theoretical derivation;The article combines the actual situation of enterprise management,constructing measurement scales of leadership silence,employees' silence,organizational performance,team performance,and employee performance respectively.Secondly,the article collects data by designing a questionnaire and implementing the questionnaire survey.Finally,the study applies SPSS18.0.to carry out reliability analysis,validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis of the data and verify the hypothesis.It can be proved that employee silence,leadership silence,and organizational silence,all of the three,have a negative impact on the three levels of performance.Among them,the influence of leadership silence on employee performance is greater than that of employee's silence;The influence of employee silence on team performance and organizational performance is greater than that of leadership silence;The influence of employees' silence and leader's silence on employee's task performance is higher than that of peripheral performance;The employees' acquiescent silence is the main driver of employees' silence affecting the three levels of performance;Leadership silence,such as prestige silence,defensive silence,and testful silence,has a negative effect on employee performance and organizational performance.Leadership silence has a negative effect on team performance,among which prestige silence,defensive silence are two main influences factors.Based on above findings,the present study centers on how to reduce employees' silent silence,leadership imposing silence,defensive silence,and testful silence to put forward some targeted and valuable enlightenment in terms of the corporate atmosphere,employee advocacy,communication channel construction,and employee training.
