The Efficiency Analysis Of China’s Regional Coal Consumption

China is a big energy consumption country with coal as main energy, and a largepart of the national economic growth comes from the consumption of coal.but at thesame time, the waste produced by burning coal has great influence on the environmentand in turn, affects people’s life and work. Therefore, how to realize the coordinateddevelopment among the coal consumption, the environment and economic growthbecomes one of the focuses of research. Firstly, this paper uses econometric analysismethod to demonstrate the relationship among the coal consumption and economicgrowth in China from1978and2010, proved the necessity of the regional coalconsumption in solving regional coal resource allocation optimization.Subsequently,this paper uses data envelopment analysis (DEA) to analyze relative efficiency ofregional coal consumption during2001-2010in China, which have important theoreticalsignificance and practical significance on how to make China’s energy consumptionpolicies, optimize the configuration of coal resources in our country and coordinate therelationship among coal, economy and environment.Through research, this paper argues that in order to realize the coordinateddevelopment of energy, economy and environment and the mode of economicdevelopment with low carbon, environmental protection as its maincharacteristics,China should increase research on the technology of using coal andoptimized configuration of coal resources among provinces at the same time.
