In recent years, the rapid development of the tourism industry and the continuousimprovement of national standard of living increased competition in the market oftourism,"how to stand out gaining more market " becomes a hot spot to thedevelopment of the tourism industry. Tourism consumption has its own particularity:travelers will lack of field experience in tourism destination because of the spacelimitation, and that makes the travelers’ decision will rely on the tourism destinationimage which spreading through media. However, the travelers’ attention has beendistracted by the excessive advertisements, these over purpose ads made some negativeeffects and people tend to resist to watch. So there come some TV dramas and filmsnowadays which bring about the "soft" propaganda so that eliminate the "hard"propaganda caused by purpose ads. Thus "to explore the influence of TV dramas andfilms and relationship between it and the development of tourism destination" hasbecome a new topic.This article’s research perspective will be the influence of TV dramas and films onthe tourism destination and base on the theory of Communication Studies, combine theacknowledge of Cognitive psychology, Human geography, Semiotics, try to figure outthe model of TV dramas and films spread and construct the tourism destination imageand the effect of this kind of impact on travelers. the Zhangjiejie will be the specificcase in this article, by analyzing the TV drama shot in Zhangjiajie and the questionnaireor interviews to tourists to discuss the effects. At last, through the specific analysis andfield research, this article will try to find out the basic conditions that the TV dramasand films will rise the positive effects on spreading and constructing the tourismdestination image, and then try to conclude the development model of this kind.
