Research About Constructing Wuhai City As The Regional Centre City Of The West Inner Mongolia

Regional central city, is usually defined in urban system of a certain area, as the key position, plays a leading role in the city comparatively to an economic zone and a town system. With the fast development of the economy of Inner Mongolia, in2010, Inner Mongolia government established the industry development pattern of Huhhot-Baotou-Erdos industrial circle, Wuhai sub-core industrial circle and Jining sub-core industrial circle. In order to realize the transformation from mining of city to the regional central city of comprehensive function, Wuhai is demanded to cooperate with Qipanjing, Mengxi and Alashan Economic Zone Administration Committee to speed up the city expansion and population concentration. Once Wuhai City is constructed as regional central city in the west Inner Mongolia, not only can promote urban comprehensive strength by using this opportunity, but also can drive the regional development in the west Inner Mongolia through its advantage. It is a top priority for making overall regional coordinated development in Inner Mongolia. Therefore this article is studied.First of all, the article introduces the background of this thesis, research progress of central cities at home and abroad, and the implications of both topic selection and research. Secondly, it elaborates the meanings and features of regional central city, and makes the arrangement and collection of theoretical basis of regional central city. Moreover, it makes comprehensive analysis on the development of Wuhai City. It describes the location, natural and social economic conditions etc of Wuhai City. It makes SWOT analysis to structure regional central city in the west Inner Mongolia of Wuhai City by current location, industrial structure, natural resources and cultural policy. Eventually, the article makes analysis to25data indexes of11sample Counties of selected region by using the principal component analysis SPSS18.0. And considering the own characteristics of Wuhai City, It makes analysis of the urban development thoughts and future space layout, and gives some suggestions about industry upgrading, market regulation, service coordination and policy guidance etc.
