A Study On The Influence Of Information Industry On Economy Growth In Anhui Province

With the development of the economic society,information industry has become the rising sun industry in the21st century.In the new global economy, information industry has become not only the foundation industry in developed country,but also the pillar industries in China. It has become China’s new growth point and is playing a more and more important role in the national economy.Anhui Province pay close attention to the development of information industry and has incorporated the development of information industry into its strategic plan.The following key questions are discussed in this article: What is the strategic importance of the information industry in the economic development in Anhui Province In what respects is the province’s economic growth affected by the information industry And how to promote the development of information industry and accelerate the economic growth of Anhui Province?This article is divided into six chapters. Chapter one, the introduction chapter, lays the foundation for the study in this article. It explains the background and significance of the research, gives a general introduction to the different points of view at home and abroad and to the qualitative or the quantitative studies related, defines the research scope in this article, and points out the researching idea, the researching methods, the main content of the research and the possible innovative points, etc.In the second chapter, the basic relative theories are introduced. It mainly consists of economic growth theory and technological progress theory, providing the theoretical basis for the study.Chapter three briefly analyses the features of information industry, the relation between information industry and technological advancement, and the overall influence of information industry to the national economy. It gives a further understanding of the importance of information industry in economic growth by analyzing the influence to the conventional industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, commerce caused by information industry.The fourth chapter discusses the present condition of information industry and economic development in Anhui Province, and draws the conclusion that the overall economic developing level in Anhui Province is backward, its development status of information industry is in mid-level by the longitudinal and latitudinal comparison of the experimental data. It also calculates the contribution ratio of information industry to the GDP increase in Anhui Province, and gets a basic understanding of the status of information industry in economic growth of Anhui Province.In the fifth chapter, the article establishes the econometric model based on the endogenous growth theory, introduces the Cobb-Douglas functional model of production, and analyzes the influence of information industry on Anhui Province’s economic growth and the status of it in economy development in Anhui by using the Ordinary Least Squares data and the Granger causality test. The relational conclusions are obtained and the relative suggestions are proposed.The sixth chapter, the conclusion, summarizes the research results and points out the inadequacies of the research.The research shows that the continuous development of information industry in Anhui Province progressing continuously, the total industrial output is growing, and the GDP contribution rate of information industry is increasing gradually each year but in general, the information industry is still not a dominant part in the province’s economic growth and it will take some distance before it becoming one of the pillar industries in Anhui Province on the other hand, the development of information industry in Anhui Province still has its own advantages: the developing of information industry is needed and strongly supported by the government policy with a good foundation of development in Anhui province. In the near future, information industry will become a real pillar industry and make greater contribution to Anhui Provincial economy if we can seize the opportunity, open up our mind, increases investment and continuously promotes the competitiveness of information industry.
