| 19years have passed since China began to implement a minimum wagerequirement in1993. So far, various provinces have established a minimum wageguarantee system and a minimum wage standard. During this period, the minimumwage system played its due role to protect the legitimate rights and interests oflow-income and safeguard social fairness and justice. But at the same time, China’sminimum wage system also appeared in a series of problems to be solved.As the theoretical guidance of Marxism-wage theory, this article collect theminimum wage, the average wage of urban workers, the per capita GDP and urbanresidents per capita consumption expenditure data of provinces and cities in the years1997-2010.And analyze the above data from the perspective of the Marxist theory ofwages to find the status of China’s minimum wage standard. In this paper, theminimum wage of Shandong Province is estimated based on the Martin Act’sminimum wage standard that in order to get a more reasonable minimum wage.Finally, facing the situation of the practice of the minimum wage system of ourcountry at present stage, the article puts up forward the policy advices by the methodsof improving the minimum wage standard measurement methods, unifying thecontents and adjusting the time of minimum wage standards, as well as improving themanagement of the minimum wage system. |
