A Study On The Agricultural Technology Extension System Of Tai Wan After World War Ⅱ

Agricultural extension service system provides technical support and service for agricultural production and management.It’s not only the main route for application of science and technology in agricultural production, scientific technology into real productive forces, but also an important means to promote the progress of agricultural science and technology, improving agricultural productivity.After World War II, especially since the beginning of the new century, Taiwan has been trying to explore an agricultural extension service system suitable for their own, innovative form of agricultural extension services. After years of practice and exploration,they build up the agricultural technology popularization system,based on agricultural associations,with the participation of government, enterprises, research institutions and universities, and promote the prosperity and development of Taiwan’s agriculture and rural economy. As to the promotion of content, not only including agricultural production techniques also include improve labor production efficiency technology, agricultural products deep-processing technology, high-quality agriculture, leisure agriculture, natural resources, protection of the use of the development of technology, and rural communities and farms of technology services, pay attention to the farmers as a whole improving the quality of science and culture;As to the promotion team, hiring qualifications and promotion of the extension workers have clearly defined, and organization-related training courses to improve the skill levels of the extension workers to better serve farmers and rural;As to the source of funding, in addition to government financial allocation, as well as farmers’association and the strong support of the funding for agricultural extension, along with economic development, the proportion of funding for agricultural research showing a growing trend year by year;As to the promotion techniques, pay attention to the use of a variety of promotional methods, stressed the important role of information technology in the promotion of agricultural.In this paper,Taiwan’s promotion of agricultural technology after World War II has been choosen as the object of study, from the history of the evolution, structure and characteristics and experience to learn three dimensions of the object launched a comprehensive, specific, systematic investigation. The full text of the main part is divided into three chapters:1st chapter by referencing and analysizing of a large number of the latest statistical data and information, giving a comprehensive picture of the historical evolution of Taiwan’s agricultural technology popularization system;2nd Chapter, according to Taiwan’s agricultural extension practice and administrative various government policy documents of the Council of Agriculture, summed up the current structure and characteristics of Taiwan’s agricultural technology promotion;3rd Chapter, combined with the shortcomings and gaps of mainland agricultural extension actual, learn from the successful experience of the extension system of Taiwan to promote steady and fast economic development.
