| Nowadays，the economic globalization is developing rapidly as an overwhelmedhistorical trend. China and ASEAN determined to build China and ASEAN Free TradeArea(C-AFTA)．It marks the process of C-AFTA was started．In this framework, both ofthem advocate agriculture as one of the five important cooperation fields．Manycountries in C—AFTA are developing countries. The economic development of themis low, and the base of agriculture is poor. China and ASEAN have the same level andstage in economic development, so the bilateral trade relations maybe mainlycompetition. But the climate mainly influenced to product and trade structure foragricultural products. As we know, China mostly located in temperate zone, butASEAN in the tropics. The climate difference resulted in the difference of resourceendowment between two sides, so the structure of international agricultural tradewas mainly complementarily. China and ASEAN could learn from each other in manyaspects such as to realize the agricultural modernization，to increase the income offarmers and to boost the development of rural area．Strengthening the agriculturecooperation with ASEAN is beneficial to expand agricultural commodities exportmarket，reduce the market risks；and it’s beneficial to push the export of ouragriculture technology, enhance the agriculture technology level of ASEAN；it’sbeneficial to promote the economic development of the rural areas，readjustmentand optimization the agricultural structure; It’s also beneficial to promote regionaleconomic cooperation. However, there still existed some problems in cooperation.For example, the cooperation level between two sides is low, the cooperation isdominated by government and enterprises are lack of enthusiasm and so on. Theseproblems restrain the cooperation. The paper tries to analyze the existed problemswith lots of materials and figures and find the ways to solve them, finally give someadvice to promote agricultural cooperation between China and ASEAN. |
