Strategy Of The United States Food Safety Testing Instruments Enter The Chinese Market

Chinese government and its people attached great importance increasingly tofood safety. A series of food safety laws and regulations are issued by the Chinesegovernment to monitor and promote the healthier development of food industry.However, the food safety testing technology is a key method to protect food safety.The research on food safety was initiated very late in China; therefore, the Chinesetesting equipments are most middle class and low-end testing products. Currenttesting technologies are not able to meet the requirement of food safety. America isknown for its innovation. The advancement and reliability of products are recognizedby the industry. It is an effective solution to solve the current problem by importingthe advanced testing equipments into China.In this paper, statistical data and chart are applied to analyze the major types ofequipments in food safety testing and the export countries to China in the last twoyears in order to reflect the trend. SWOT analysis is used to evaluate the strengths,weaknesses, opportunities and advantages of U.S. Companies entering into the Chinamarket. The comparison, logical reasoning and analysis are used as the method forthis research. Through introducing the food safety regulatory system, testing standards,testing organization, current status of testing technology and demand in China, SWOTanalysis, in the meanwhile, providing information on IPR protection and trade shows,the author provides the information to the U.S. Company intending to understand theChinese food safety market and for their further research as a reference.
