After long-term study and analysis, we find we can conclude the regional technology development procedure by utilizing the geo-information system and analyzing the patent application information and technology development situation of the whole industry. Finally we make a conclusion that in recent10years the electronics industry of China has rapidly developed, especially the development of cell phones has become particularly outstanding, individual applications and applications across the country have been the world’s first. Although the core technology is still in the hands of foreign companies, China’s enterprises are catching up, gradually narrowing the gap. Guangdong, Beijing and Shanghai have been obvious competitive in the domestic provinces and cities, and give full play to the leading role. Driving the Midwest and other edge technology development in the marginal region, the leading enterprises of Nanjing, Xi’an and Chengdu and other places have made obvious progress.This paper first makes a holistic analysis on electric industry and then invents a new way of making selective analysis on the technology development of cell phone industry combined with national policy. The author conducts detailed analysis of the development status and characteristics of different regions of cell phone industry during the recent decade from three kinds of typical technologies of human-computer interaction, application&service and low power consumption. Last the author makes comparative analysis on development of cell phone industry between China and the world and finally arrives at a conclusion that now Chinese cell phone industry is increasingly developing and technical advantages are emerging gradually, and will be ahead of the world in the near future.This paper has five parts and are shown as follows:The first chapter,Introduction.From the reformation and opening up to the21st century,fast development of electronics industry in China,production volume and market share are among the world top.It depends on the development of technology and innovation. The second chapter,Patent Status Overview.First,introduce the concept of intellectual property, significance and role of patent protection.Then introduce the status of patent applications in China.The third chapter,Electronics Industry Patent Analysis.In this chapter,we will analyze the status of patent applications in the past10years separately with television sets, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phone and computers as an example.From the analysis of the number and geographical distribution we concludes that China’s electronics industry technology trends.But the core technology still rests in the hands of foreigners,government and relevant departments should give sustained attention and support.The fourth chapter,Mobile Phone Industry Development and Analysis.In this chapter,we will analyze the status of patent applications with mobile phone as an example in the past10years. We selects several key aspects of mobile phone’s technology, and concludes that China’s mobile phones industry technology trends from the analysis of the number and geographical distribution.The fifth chapter, Development and Recommendation.After several years of development, our country has made significant achievements, but the core technology still rests in the hands of the foreigners. Government and the relevant departments should give sustained attention and support on the development of the industry.
