The Study On The Application Of Patent Information In Enterprises

Patent information is a kind of information resource which integrates law, technology and economic information. The tendency toward an information-oriented society has generated demand for more accurate protection of intellectual property rights of such information, and has consequently increased the importance of the patent information in economic activities. The thesis was inspired, shaped and finally accomplished based on such background. As China has already joined the WTO, domestic enterprises will be situated in a much opener and much more intense competitive environment. As a result, Carrying out researches on the development of patent information are of great importance for an enterprise to improve its comprehensive competitive power.In order to maximize the utilization of the patent information, This thesis investigates the present condition of researches on the development of patent information, introduces the definition in order to understand the patent information completely from theoretical view, analysis the application of patent information methods in practical work, discusses the necessity and feasibility of application of patent information in enterprises. Then base on the analysis of original system of patent information applying theory and methods, this thesis illustrate the patent information applying flow under the new environment, explores new system of patent information applying method and discuss the application of these methods at the same time. In view of the practical purpose of this research, carries out an empirical analysis on the DVD patents between China and the United states. On the base of the patent information analysis, discusses the differences on the patent strategies and systems, offers some suggestions to the domestic enterprises. This research has some theoretical and practical significance. It can help Chinese enterprises to improve the awareness of the patent information application and construct the new systems of patent information applying.
