Manufacturing industry belongs to the second industry in a large category, which is the basic industry of our country economy. It occupies an important position in our country economy, which is the lifeblood of China’s economy. It not only affects China’s GDP, fiscal revenue, gross industrial output value, profits and tax revenue growth, but also affects the national life and national defense capability. However, the improvement rates of manufacturing industry of our country are slowed down in recent years. A large number of manufacturing enterprises are moving away. That is primarily caused by human resources shortage, unreasonable equipment configuration, and low utilization rate of material. In this case, it should make the allocation and use of internal personnel, equipment and material resources of the manufacturing enterprise to be rational. Improving the enterprise production efficiency has been as the major resource and difficult problem to maintain development, promote enterprise strength and reduce resource waste of the manufacturers.This paper which based on the related theories and methods of system dynamics and manufacturing resource management has a research on the improvement of the production efficiency of various resources in the production process. This paper is that the difference between enterprise production efficiency and productivities. At the same time, the improvement methods are systematically analyzed in the paper. Using the system dynamics simulation software vensim as a platform, it constructs the causal feedback diagram which based on the human resources, equipment resources and material resources, and establishes the system flowchart of three subsystems. Taking the example of a production line of A company, according to the existing data and resource investment trend, it makes the simulation of three subsystems and analyzes the changes of the production efficiency. Then by changing the related data, it analyzes the consequent of the improvement of the production efficiency of each subsystem.The main research results of this paper are as follows:(1) On the basis of the summary of the production efficiency at home and abroad and the theory and practical experience of system dynamics, it is that the define of the production efficiency, influencing factors and improving ways, improving the technical methods are comprehensively analyzed, and it compares the characteristics methods, ranges of application, data requirements and prediction with of system dynamics and other two methods which are stochastic frontier approaches and data envelopment analysis. Then it points out the advantages of that apply system dynamics to improve the production efficiency.(2)Analyzing the factors of each resources that influences the production efficiency, it makes these factors to be linked and establishes the causal feedback diagram to describes the relationship between various factors and finds out the key factors which are clear about the focal point of the improvement of the resources production efficiency. All of that are to provide a train of thought about diagnosing production system and building solutions of manufacturing enterprise.(3) According to the influence factors of the resource efficiency and the characteristics of the vensim software for simulation, this paper builds the flow chart of each resource subsystem. According to the interaction relationship between the variables in the process of the actual product, the mathematical equations are established which indicate their relationship.(4) Combining with the actual production of the product line, management status and resource investment trend of A company, variables of flowchart of each subsystem are assigned. It acquires the present and future situations of the production efficiency by running model. By changing the key factor value of each subsystem, it analyses the change results of the productivity of each subsystem. Then according to the changing effects, it puts forward the corresponding strategies to improve the production efficiency of the manufacturing enterprise.
