Chinese agriculture has successfully answered the worldwide doubt "who will feed the world’s Chinese", but economic globalization makes China’s agriculture is involved in the trouble, then the problem of Chinese agriculture is not a simple problem of feeding population. In this situation, the drawbacks of traditional agriculture undoubtedly are shown out. Variety of modern agricultural achievements from the West gets into Chinese market; as a result, China’s traditional agriculture has to face many kinds of unprecedented challenges. The fierce competition in the domestic and international markets makes Chinese agriculture has to be changed to modern agriculture.This thesis fully discusses the development of modern agriculture in Arong Qi where is a minority nationality region in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, based on the extensive research of modern agriculture theory, the analyzing of modern agriculture in Europe and the United States and other Western countries, and combining with the background of modern agriculture development in our country, then put forward the policy recommendations to accelerate the development. This paper mainly adopts the method of theory combining with practice, case analysis, overall analysis, and comparative analysis research combined with logical reasoning. This is the first in-depth ethnic minority areas to carry out a comprehensive study and overall grasp of modern agriculture.Arong Qi is located in southeast of Hulun Buir City, Inner Mongolia and it’s one of the high-quality commodity grain bases in our county. In2006, Arong Qi as the first enters the rank of the national green agriculture demonstration zone. To promote the development of modern agriculture, except the support of national policy, the more important thing is to play own advantages. All conditions of ecological rich resources, modern agricultural management system gradually establishing, initially forming the modern agriculture industrial structure and the growth of agricultural service system become the basis for the development of modern agriculture in Arong Qi. At the same time, the development of modern agriculture in Arong Qi is facing more limiting factors. The development of modern agriculture is the core of the development of agricultural productivity, and agricultural productivity development lies in the improvement of the quality of agricultural labor force. At this stage, the overall quality of the farmers can not meet the needs of the modern agriculture yet. The development of modern agriculture has strong demand for capital, but Arong Qi is facing a serious shortage of found supply in current. The development of modern agriculture also needs modern agricultural service system as an effective protection, including a series of public service, technology, all kinds of platforms and personnel service system, but Arong Qi can’t do it now.The unique feature of this thesis is thoroughly analyzing modern agricultural development status in the ethnic area Arong Qi. It’s the practical application of modern agricultural development theory, and also improving the modern agriculture theory.
