Green Hotel In Beijing Area Environmental Behavior

With the development of economy, much attention on environment has been taken by people. Hotels must shoulder a part of responsibility to protect environment, and green hotel has become an irresistible trend and only choice of hotel industry.The creation and development of green hotels can not only bring new economic and social benefits for hotels, but also further enhance hotels’ competitive advantage and achieve hotels’sustainable development.Now, studies on how hotels go green are richful, but there are just a few studies on hotels’green business behavior. Therefore, this study which is based on understanding of the implementation status of green hotels in Beijing analyzed all the factors in the past five years, and finally predicted green hotels’ development trend in the next five years to come.According to distribution characteristics of green hotels in Beijing,214green hotels have been chosen as samples, which located in Chaoyang District, Haidian District, Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Changping District, Fangshan District and Miyun County. Meanwhile, first-hand information and data have been collected from green hotels’employees by questionnaires.This study used social science statistical software SPSS statistic20.0to analyze first-hand information and data. Based on the size of impact strength in hotel employees’view, the results showed problems that green hotels in Beijing exist:hotel management layer’s ignorance, hotel employees’poor environmental protection awareness, environmental protection facilities of non-compliance, imperfect environmental programs, lack of implementing of environmental measures and so on.Through a comprehensive analysis of green hotels employees in Beijing, there are some differences existing in green behavior and awareness of sustainable development between hotel employees with various demographic factors.
