Yanbian Region Food Industry Consolidation Study

Yanbian state is the largest Korean gathering place in China. There are the rich food raw material resources in the state, but matching food industry does not be cultivated. Compared with the developed minority autonomous prefectures, the gap is still very large. Why the development of the food industry in Yanbian state is not successful under the conditions of the so rich resource? The main reason is that the Yanbian food industry is disjointed with a wealth of resources, and that the Yanbian area food industrial structure development is lag, lack of innovation and management capabilities. As a result, there is the serious impact on the food industry and economic development of Yanbian state. In this paper, the modern industrial integration theory combined with characteristics with superior resources of the Yanbian region to develop the food industry consolidation is used to explore the research topic of consolidation development theory about Yanbian food industryFirstly this paper makes a general introduction and description of the industry consolidation theory and domestic and foreign industry consolidation study dynamic. On this basis, this paper focuses on the formation of the food industry consolidation. Next according to the combination of practice and theory, the research and analysis of Yanbian area of food industry development status and inadequacies is made. In recent years, the fast food industry develops fast; the overall strength enhances; the number of enterprises rise; the food technology is improved; the food industry develops, which all promote the the Yanbian region’s economic development. Also it analyzes the problems and the reasons of the development of Yanbian food industry consolidation with small-scale industry, the lack of leading enterprises, accounted for a low proportion in the food industry, the poor management, and the irrational industrial structure and so on. Then, this paper demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of development of industry consolidation in the food industry of Yanbian area. From the necessity of view, it is the objective requirements and practical needs to develop the Yanbian area integrated food industry, transform Yanbian food industrial extensive economic and achieve the development of the economic boom in the Yanbian region. From the feasibility point of view, the Yanbian area food industrial integration has the advantage of location, resources, and ethnic characteristics. According to the analysis, this paper gives the strategic objectives and model of the industry consolidation development and the specific recommendations and policies.
