Rana Chensinensis, commonly known as Chinese wood-frog or Harsmar, is a rare frog species which are mainly distributed in the Changbai Mountains and the original forests of the great and small Xingan mountains. Yanbian region in Jilin Province based on the geographical advantages of Changbai Mountain, Rana provenance advantaged is richly endowed by nature, so it has strong reputation at home and abroad by large body, high oil, oily quality, high medicinal value and health effects of breeding Rana.In recent years, under the attention and concern of Yanbian Commission, state government and forestry authorities to Rana breeding, product development, process-oriented, Rana industry developed rapidly in Yanbian, and gradually developed into a specialized industry of Yanbian resources. Rana industry has been developing rapidly relying on provenance and resource advantages, adopting a normalized and standardized breeding, improving resource utilization efficiency, and fostering the growth of enterprises. Its products have been widely used in food, beverage, cosmetic, health care and pharmaceutical other fields.The ditches are closured about5500in the province,60%in the Yanbian region, we can see that the scale of breeding and output value of Rana industry of Yanbian is very impressive. Rana oil,skin and other thirty kinds of series products have been developed, some of the products have entered into the international market, Yanbian Rana industry has gradually become an important way to get rich for farmers, however, the problems and solutions should also be concerned also. In this paper, Rana breeding conditions, industry development status, geographical advantages and the main issues constraining industrial development of Yanbian region are investigated and analysised, and the countermeasures and suggestions for Rana industry development are put forward, hoping the survey to provide reference data for Rana industrial development of Yanbian.
