As the planning,"The Tumen river area cooperation development plan-in China Chang-Ji-Tu development and opening-up pilot area", issued by the State Council being further implemented, the characteristic development of the tourism industry has become an important part of Hunchun City to carry out international cooperation and develop modern service industry. Considering the important role of the tourism industry in the economic development and international cooperation of Hunchun City, this paper, with the probe into the characteristics of Hunchun City tourism resources and tourism souvenirs development status, previous research on the tourism destination image, tourism souvenirs related concepts and theoretical explanation of the basis, discussed feasibility of the construction of tourism destination image in the development process of tourism souvenirs.The image characteristics of Hunchun City tourism resources with border style, multicultural, green ecological can be seen through the analysis of Hunchun tourism image. Hunchun City tourism souvenir development was characterized by native products and features of Russian culture. There are some problems such as distinguishing feature being not prominent, lack of brand building, low levels of diversification, and lack of connection with other industrial and regional tourism image and overall planning in the development of tourism souvenirs.Aiming at the problems above, this study referenced the tourism destination image research and related theories of the development of tourism souvenirs in theory, based on which it discussed the common factors of image construction and the development of tourism souvenirs. Regarding the tourism destination image construction of Hunchun city as the main line, it put forward strategy of building destination brand identity, diversification strategy and systematic strategy in the development of tourism souvenir. These strategies have a positive meaning to the development of tourism souvenirs and overall development of area tourism industry.
