Research On Improvements Of Medical Insurance Policy Based On Elders’Health Status

With the trend of aging population goes further, aging of health and the cost of older’s health got more and more focus. Yet there’s little research on cost of older’s health in China because of lacking in data and proof..This article will give you an brief idea of different older’s health cost based on data of sixth nationwide population census and Project "China Health And Retirement Longitudinal Survey"(CHARLS), and come to the proposal that Government should give extra subsidies for older above60. This proposal is based on the trend of more cost in health care and need when aging, yet few subsidies current government will provide to them. According to different ratio for health care cost for older who can’t take care of himself, we come to the conclusion that give extra25%health care subsidies for older in60s, extra35%for older in his70s, extra50%for older in80s and extra65%for90s. This article will also provide several suggestions for optimizing of Medicare according to data analyzing of CHARLES.
