With the development of the society, inbound tourism has become a major criterion for measuring the development of the country or an area’s tourism economy, meanwhile, the important symbol for evaluating the internationalization and maturity of tourism industry. In June2004, the government leaders of the11provinces, signed a Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation Framework Agreement in the first Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation Forum. Tourism was recognized one of the ten areas for the implementation of the Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation agreement. The Pan-Pearl River Delta region includes nine provinces of the South China, Southeast, Central, and Southwest and two special administrative regions, inbound tourism is an important part of its tourism industry.As the constraction of international tourism island becomes a national strategy, the attraction of Hainan, which is an important part of the Pan-Pearl River Delta region, appears to foreign tourists. The Pan-Pearl River Delta region as the background, analyzing the competitive situation of inbound tourism market of Hainan, and take the appropriate measures of cooperation, which plays a practical role in the development of Hainan Province and the Pan-Pearl River Delta region.The first, the paper summarises the tourism market researches at home and abroad in recent years; Analyzing the overview of Hainan inbound tourism market, and it has been got a major leap since the establishment of the province in1988. Also, foreign source markets accounted for most of the tourist market.The secondly, with the introduction of the the Boston Matrix model, making the13major source countries of Hainan tourist foreign tourist market as the object, analysis of competitive situation of Hainan inbound tourism market from2001to2012, getting the absolute competitive advantage of inbound tourism market in Hainan:more skinny dog market, the number of taurus market is stable, star market and young children market are gaps in the market.The third, with the introduction of the shift-share analysis method, The Pan-Pearl River Delta region as the background, making the13major source countries of The Pan-Pearl River Delta region foreign tourist market as the object, analysis of the relative competitive advantage of each province’source countries in the Pan-Pearl. Specially, Russia, Singapore are the dominant markets, The Philippines, the United States, the French are middle-markets, Thailand, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia are weak markets.The fourth, according to the results of the previous analysis, combined with the characteristics of Hainan and the Pan-PRD region, suggesting some recommendations of Hainan’s participation in the Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Tourism cooperation: developing the dominant markets, and making up for the weak markets; building the China’s "Sun Belt" together; continue to promote the "multi-destination" tourism cooperation; making the flow of tourists in the southern coastal area with cruises as links; completing services to enhance inbound tourism facilitation level; eliminating the institutional barriers between persons from different places gradually; developing the e-commerce and internet marketing to enhance the level of tourism information,which helps the inbound tourism market of Hainan Province and the Pan-PRD region develop in a sustainable development.
