At present, in the background of the global warming, greenhouse gases especially the Fossilenergy combustion which released Carbon Dioxide,Methane and other gases is the main causes of theglobal warming. Greenhouse gas reduction already became the responsibility and consensus of the survivaland development for the whole body of mankind.to developing the low carbon economy and circulareconomy are already the hot issue which aroused wide public concern and inevitable choice in theworldwide. Henan province is the one which coal is the main uses, as the capital of Henan province, thestructure of energy consumption in Zhengzhou city is also main use of coal. Zhengzhou city as the coreregion of economical growth acted the leading role in the<The central plains economic zone planning>.Exploring a Low carbon development way has great significance for strategic target of building up thecentral plains economic zone.In recent years, many study found that land use utilization has great influence for carbonemissions and carbon cycling in Ecological System. This paper based on the data of land use and the dataof energy consumption for each industry in Zhengzhou city in the year2000to2008, use the SustainableDevelopment Theory, human-geo relationship theory, location theory, ecological footprint theory andEnvironmental Kuznets theory as the theoretical basis. Applied qualitative analysis and quantitativeanalysis to preliminary estimate the land use utilization carbon emission and energy consumption of eachindustry in recent ten years in Zhengzhou city. Then applied mathematical model to figure out the acreageof productbility land for absorbing the carbon emission. Related conclusions are as below.First, according to the Statistical Yearbook of Zhengzhou city, the article makes brief analysisand evaluation of the land use status and energy consumption status of2008Zhengzhou city.Second, the article processes the data, and calculates the energy consumption and carbonemissions of industrial space by the use of mathematical methods for carbon emission estimates, accordingto the classification of land use in industrial space and according to the land use and energy consumptiondata of Zhengzhou city in the last decade. Calculations showed that the energy consumption of life inZhengzhou city and industrial and commercial industrial space are the most, so the carbon emissions ofwhich are most, followed by the transport industry and agriculture. Carbon emissions are showing an increasing trend and grow quickly. At the same time, the carbon emissions intensity of every industrialspace is calculated, and the pressure of land use carbon emissions is analyzed too. Besides, the agriculturalspace carbon emissions and carbon absorption are calculated, and the size of Zhengzhou city farmland andwoodland carbon absorption are comparatively analyzed to draw the conclusion that Zhengzhou Citycarbon absorption is mainly dominated by farm land.Third, the area of productive land required to absorb carbon emissions is calculated according tocarbon emissions and carbon absorption, which is the carbon footprint of every industrial space inZhengzhou city, and the ecological deficit and carbon footprint strength of every industrial space can bedrawn according to carbon footprint calculation results. The results show that the life and commercial andindustrial space in Zhengzhou city occupies the largest carbon footprint, and the ecological compensationrate is less than40%, so there is an urgent need to improve the energy consumption structure and industrialstructure adjustment to ease ecological pressure. Finally, through the analysis of the results, the article gives the strategies and recommendationsfor the future patterns of energy use and land-use of Zhengzhou, and notes the issue which the paperpending to further study.
