An Empirical Research On Influencing Factors Of Port Logistics Service Quality

The21st century is the era of the marine economy. In2011, approved by the State Council,"The planning of Zhejiang marine economic development" indicates a new direction and adds new impetus for Zhejiang marine economy. Construct a port and shipping logistic service system that including commodity trading platform, sea and land linkage distribution network, financial and information support service system is one of the core content of the "planning". Nowadays, the competition between different ports is becoming much fiercer; in order to seize the development opportunities, building a new port and shipping logistics service system is an important way to develop the advantage of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.From the past research and the results of the domestic and foreign scholars, we can find that in the area of competitive port and shipping logistics services, improving the port and shipping logistics service quality has clearly become the effective strategy to exert its competitive advantage and improve the customer satisfaction. Therefore, in this research we mainly study on the factors which will influence the port and shipping logistics service quality. At the very beginning, this research arranges the related literature, and depend on the results in those literature we build a theoretical model. Then we use a statistical tool named SPSS17.0to do an empirical research, hoping to examine the validity of the theoretical model.The empirical results show that the technical quality, functional quality, relationship quality and physical conditions are the influencing factors of port and shipping logistics service quality. After that, at the end of this research, we propose some suggestions to improve the port and shipping logistics service quality. This study attempts to combain the quality of logistics service in the context of development of marine economy, and analysis the influencing factors. We hope the results will help to improve the logistics service quality and enhance the competitive of the port and shipping logistics service system.
