Chinese Enterprises Overseas Direct Investment Risk Analysis

In recent years, Chinese enterprises have set off a burst of foreign direct investment boom, they positively response to China’s "going out" development policy. This article is based on the theory of risk factors of Scholars at home and abroad in the past to specifically classify and analyze the risks.First, this paper analyzes the research results at home and abroad, to provide a basis for risk identification to Chinese enterprises overseas investment risk for the original intention, and summed up the classification of the risk factors. Secondly, the problem of Chinese enterprises investing overseas will be explored from the data of recent years, such as specific analysis of the current Chinese enterprises overseas investment profile, the main mode and investment structure. Then the core risk index system is built up to evaluate a certain overseas investment.In this chapter will empirical analysis the case of Aluminum Corp. of China investing in Vietnam. Finally, the third chapter of the article will give specific analysis of the causes of these factors, and come to the advices of the macro, the meso and the micro. At the national level, government should provide enterprises with good policies and laws to safeguard the environment and service organizations. At industry level, they must concentrate on the corporate services, the establishment of non-governmental trade association, strategic alliances. At enterprise level, they should strengthen the regulatory and risk warning, to improve cross-cultural enterprise, human resources management, while improve social responsibility and environmental awareness. When enterprises legal rights and interests are infringed upon, they should actively protect their own interests by negotiations, litigation and claims.
