Private banking business has played an indelible role in the intermediate business of commercial bank development. In November2012the private banking business of ICBC official landed Nanning in Guangxi Province, which became the second large state-owned commercial bank offering private banking business in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. This shows that Guangxi has a large number of potential high net worth clients while the private banking business market is still not fully developed. There exist many problems in the initial stage of Guangxi private banking business, external factors inhibiting the development of private banking business and the shortcomings of Guangxi commercial banks. With the gradual optimization of the commercial banks’ structure, there is important practical significance to study the private banking business in Guangxi, which can not only satisfy the high net worth clients’ demand, but also improve the profit pattern of commercial banks, at the same time vigorously promote the accelerated development of economy and finance.In this paper, according to the Guangxi high net worth clients’ demand, based on the private banking module positioning theory, summing up the experiences of first-tier cities, from the view of the development of Guangxi private banking business, using questionnaire method to investigated the need of Guangxi high net worth clients for private banking business. On the basis of the survey, the paper analyses the principal components affecting customers’ demand by factor analysis and structural equation model. Find out the factors that influence the development of private banking business in Guangxi. Finally, put forward the policy recommendations of Guangxi private banking business development, including the establishment of "Banks, securities and insurance" three integration services system, development direction to the customer as the center and professional degree promotion of private banking business.
