Miyun Rural Tourism Development Status And Countermeasures

With the rapid economic growth and the higher living standards in our country, people tend to go to the countryside for rural tourism on weekends or during the three-day holidays, hence the explosion of the countryside tourists. It has become many tourists’entertaining choice to live in the folk-custom house, taste rural cuisine and experience farm working. Therefore, it is significant to analyze and study the development of the rural tourism in Miyun county.The rural tourism in Miyun has achieved considerable scale so far. The local government has constantly searched after how to develop and manage the rural tourism in a better way. Various measures and means have been taken in this regard while experience and good results achieved. However, compared with those districts or counties with better-developed rural tourism in Beijing, Miyun county lags behind and many problems are yet to be solved. One of the major tasks of the Miyun local government is how to create special rural tourism in Miyun county, which stems from green ecological environment and is featured by delicate countryside life experience. Meanwhile, the local government is also endeavored to build up the normative marketing system, set up brands with unique features and level up the grade of the rural tourism.This thesis reviews the history and current situation of the rural tourism in Miyun county and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the rural tourist industry in Miyun. Roles played in the development of rural tourism by the governmental departments, the guild of rural tourism and the cooperation groups for folk-custom tourism can also be found in this article. Through deep studies on rural tourist infrastructures, folk-custom tourist reception, cultivation of rural tourist talents, business concepts and marketing modes, the article offers an in-depth analysis of the bottle neck and problems in the development of the rural tourism in Miyun. Meanwhile, various methods of study such as field investigation, document study, data statistics, comparative study and case study are used by the author. Suggestions are also given from the perspective of the governmental management. Those suggestions, based on the practical situation of the rural tourism in Miyun, are hoped to be able to promote the development of the local tourism, increase the income of the local peasants and bring about a new example for the rural tourism in the vicinity of Beijing.By conclusion, the author comes up with six ideas concerning how the lessons can be learned from Miyun county for the better development of the rural tourism in Beijing.
