Research On The Social Responsibilities Of Seed-based Enterprises From The Perspective Of Stakeholders

With the global economic integration and the gradual deepening of China’s reform and opening up, the issue of corporate social responsibility has been unprecedented attention of the whole society. Academics and managers in the enterprise basically reached a consensus on the point of view of fulfilling social responsibility, the concern of academic research is how companies should take responsibility and what responsibility enterprise should have, what is the difference between different types of enterprises responsible for social responsibility.China is a large agricultural country, the seed industry is one of China’s basic industries, has a very important role in China’s food security and stable development of the national economy. The seed industry is a special industry, seed production is different from the production of other types of enterprises, the production process of seed enterprises is not only influenced by the human and financial human factors, but also by climate, soil and other natural factors, in addition, farmers as a major consumer of the products produced by the seed companies, belonging to vulnerable groups of society, have low educational level. Many seed companies in China lack of social responsibility seriously, agricultural production decreased because of seed problem, these events caused a heavy economic burden to farmers and society. Therefore, according to the characteristics of the seed companies, this study explore the contents of corporate social responsibility of seed companies, build seed corporate social responsibility evaluation system based on the analysis results, and finally find ways of improving the level of China’s seed Corporate Social Responsibility.We have introduced a new point of view-the stakeholder theory in studying seed corporate social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility research from this perspective improves the operability of seed corporate social responsibility, make social responsibility theory have more practical value, enrich the theory of corporate social responsibility, so this research has a very important significance for academia and the business community. The theoretical significance of this study is:to deepen the awareness of the public on the seed corporate social responsibility, make the contents of seed corporate social responsibility more clearly, classify the stakeholders of the seed companies by the resource base and resource dependence theory, and determine the priority sequence of fulfilling their social responsibility of seed companies according to classification results. The practical significance of the study is:to build corporate social responsibility evaluation system from the perspective of stakeholders, provide guidance and self-assessment to the seed companies fulfilling social responsibility, and provide theoretical reference for regulatory authorities to supervise seed corporate social responsibility. Therefore, this study will push seed companies to actively fulfill their social responsibilities.
