Research On The Urban Regional Economic Strength Of Shanxi Province Based On Improved TOPSIS

With the high-speed development of global economy, the process of Chinese economy into globalization is accelerated and regional integration in domestic economy is more and more obvious. Since the reform and opening-up, China’s provincial administrative region for space unit area economy in the process of decentralization reform is gradually strengthened and gets a space on the properties of the relative independence. Therefore, since the middle of the twentieth century, many regional economics research referring to the regional economic concept is actually provinces economy; Since at the end of the twentieth century, the county economy research sprung up, and the relevant works have been shown. But whether provincial economy or the county economy, it belongs to administrative region economy, that is to say, until now, China’s regional economic research is administrative region economy.However, the conditions of the market economy, economic development require to break county for sure to have a full play to the city as a regional economic center city function,like county and provincial administrative economy. Plus China carried out "city zone county" system, it has a good use of the central city of the radiation function, the county(district) around cities get a rapid development by using of central cities in all aspects of the advantage, so the urban economy arises at the historic moment. Urban area is a specific form, at present our country on urban economic municipal administrative unit has more than280, in the Chinese economic development it occupies an extremely important position. In recent years, the Shanxi Province regional economic strength gap is obvious, and the gap is growing trend. The enlargement of gap, to a great extent, is related to the county economic strength. Shanxi can’t fully realize industrialization and urbanization process, from the current characteristics of economic operation of the view, should pay attention to strengthen the research of regional economy.This paper is based on regional economic development theory at home and abroad and provides theoretical basis for research, and according to each city’s objective environment in Shanxi Province, analyzes of the present situation and characteristic of regional economic development, and the existing problems in the process of the development.By the combination of theoretical and empirical analysis, based on regional economic characteristics, this paper builds a construction of regional economic strength evaluation index system, and use the improved TOPSIS method to evaluate and analyze the cities of the economic power of comprehensive of Shanxi Province and on this basis, put forward to promote regional economic strength’s countermeasures and suggestions.
