With the development of global economic integration, the external economic environment changes to be more complex and the market competition is becoming intensified. Many companies are beginning to realize the importance of strategic management and use the tool of performance management to manage the organization and employees, and enhance the core competitiveness through technical innovation and management upgrades.Performance management is now attracting more and more attention and many companies have obtained some experiences in the development of performance management system. To introduce and apply the existing performance management systems directly may cause agitated or even damage the interests of enterprises, due to the difference of organizational structure, culture, developing status and management style. Therefore, it is particularly important to establish an efficient performance management system based on the company’s own situation.N company is a manufacturing enterprise with a history of over20years and products are mainly exported. Affected by financial crisis since2008, global trade has stuck into low growth period and the company is facing the challenge of growth performance. Based on the study of domestic and overseas literature on theories and practice of performance management, through the investigation and understanding of N company’s development strategy, business environment and operation effect of performance management system, analysis the problems of organizational performance management system in the aspects of performance plan, performance implementation, performance evaluation, performance feedback and application of performance evaluation. The organizational performance management system was improved strategy-oriented and constantly optimized during the implementation to promote strategic planning effectively and ensure sustainable and healthy development.Based on summary of research on improvement of organizational performance management system for N company and practical experiences of more than two years, further research direction was proposed in order to improve organizational performance management system to adapt to the new management needs.
