With the accelerating pace of reform and opening-up, the competition between domestic enterprises become increasingly severe, especially in the field of the talent competition. Concerns of current companies for their employees are also gradually changing from the external tough management to the internal value enhancement. There are growing numbers of management experts and corporate executives who have strengthened both research and practice to enhance employee career satisfaction. Research on employee career satisfaction in China starts late. Most studies often took practitioners that have a higher social prestige like teachers, doctors, military officers as the study objects, while there is few research on employees of private enterprises.Based on a full understanding of career satisfaction and related theories, this thesis combines researches on the connotation of career satisfaction, dimensions, influencing factors and the outcome variable quantity. It not only defines the concept of career, employee satisfaction and career satisfaction, but also summarizes theories like career development theory and organizational career management theory. In order to fill gaps in the previous studies, this thesis takes salespeople in a private company TP shopping market as the case study object. It uses methods like questionnaire survey and individual interviews to do the field research. It also researches the characteristics of the sales industry, the overall situation of the company, the basic situation and structure of the salespeople, as well as their current career development status in a multi-angle depth. It analyzes the existing problem in salespeople career satisfaction and explore its deep-seated causes. On this basis, this thesis attempts to use career satisfaction theory and other related theories to propose ideas which could enhance the career satisfaction. It also starts from two aspects as the establishment of enterprise management philosophy and human resources management practice to put forward countermeasures to improve the career satisfaction of the salespeople in different career development stages.
