The Study On Increasing Peasants’ Income In Xinxiang County, Henan Province

Three dimensional rural issues is the most important thing at achieving the grand goal building awell-off society in an all-round way. What’s more, increasing peasants’ income is the key point of threedimensional rural issues. Since the founding of china, especially the reform and opening, the agricultureand rural economic development in our country have made remarkable achievements. The farmers’income, on the whole, is in a growing trend. Meanwhile, we also should note the problems at increasingfarmers’ income in recent years, such as the slow growth at farmers’ income, the increasement of incomegap between urban and rural residents, the liminted channels increasing farmers’ income. The existingproblems don’t only influence the improvement of living standards of farmers, but also influence therural reform, development and social stability. These problems are highly associtated with therelationship between urban and rural integration process and the national economic and socialdevelopment.Xinxiang County is an industry dominated county with good economic foundation in Henanprovince.Now, the county is implementing the integration of urban and rural development andpromoting urban and rural plan as a whole work deployment. Under the background of the reform anddevelopment of rural economy in China, the thesis takes the county as the research object. By adoptingquestionnaire survey, literature review, theoretical analysis and comparative analysis, the thesis putsforward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to problems arising in the questionnairesurvey and influential factors of farmers’ income at the current situation.According to the investigation and analysis on the county farmers’ income, the thesis summed upthe proparties of county farmers’ income, which displays the speeding up the pace of income, theobuvious income of non-agricultural trend and dominant income from secundiparity characteristics.However, there are porblems, for instance, out of phase economic growth, the larger income gapbetween urban and rural residents, the felling behind income from the developed counties and singleincome source. The thesis foucsed on the factors affecting the local farmers’ income, and analyzed thefactors restricting the the county farmers’ income from the angles of the county industrial structure, theprogress of urbanization, the level of agricultural industrialization, the importance of agriculture andfarmers own cultural quality. Finally, By combining with current situation and using relevant theoriesand research results, the thesis puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions, improvingthe quality of farmers themselves, cultivating advantage and characteristic industry, vigorouslyimplementing the industrialized operation of agriculture, improving agricultural technologypopularization system, promotting urban and rural development as a whole, carrying out the land scalemanagement and improving farmers own quality. Although these countermeasures and the suggestionswere proposed according to the development characteristics of Xinxiang County, it also has referencevalue and significance to other counties with the similar situation.
