Along with the deepening reform of the real estate market, Chinese real estate industry has developed quickly, the average commercial housing prices showed a rising trend in the past decade. At the same time, the income gap of residents is also become widened. On one hand, the rising real estate price has affected the income gap of residents. On the other hand, the income gap of residents also has a positive impact on the real estate prices.On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper verifies the relationship between the real estate price and the income gap. At the same time, by building the VAR model of real estate price and the income gap of urban residents, the paper analyzed the interaction relationship between the real estate price and income gap of residents with empirical analysis.This paper is organized as follows. Chapter one will introduce the research background, research objectives and research importance. Chapter two will define the conception of real estate price and the gap income, also review literatures in this field.Chapter three discuss the relationship between the real estate price and income gap of residents on the foundation of theoretical analysis. Chapter four is empirical analysis, mainly analyzed the interaction relationship between the real estate price and income gap of residents. The last chapter gives the conclusion of this paper and puts forward the policy proposal.
