Study On The FDI’s Influence On The Commodity Structure Of Export

With the acceleration of the globalization of the economy as a whole, acountry’s FDI and foreign trade are increasingly linked. FDI is increasingly becomingthe backbone of the impact of foreign trade. In general, a country’s merchandise tradeand FDI is a substitute for each other, promote each other’s role. Specifically, whatkind of relation between the country’s export merchandise trade and FDI in the end,simply complementary relationship or substitutes? What impact is The FDI utilizationin different industries for this industry’s export trade structure and for other industry?In the end what the right way to use a lot of access to China’s FDI to accelerate thepace of China’s export trade structure optimization, then a fundamental optimizationof industrial upgrading, rapid and healthy development of the national economy as awhole? From theoretical and empirical these two aspects of the above questions weresummarized and discussed, which has a very important practical significance topromote the steady development of China’s foreign trade, absorbing FDI, and makingthe proper development of national economic policies. These problems are the focusof the article.This article is mainly based on the years of1986-2011Statistical Yearbook ofFDI and foreign trade data descriptive statistics, calculation. By means of econometrictools, this article make a Qualitative and quantitative analysis between FDI and export tradestructure optimization in China to do the empirical.In this paper, the quantity of manufactured goodsexports and the proportion of primary products exports indicates the extent of the export trade structureoptimization. The use of the ADF unit root test, Granger causality test and otherdifferent empirical analysis methods draw a conclusion: FDI promote China’s export tradestructure optimization, although the intensity of this advance is gradually weakened.
