Along with people’s rising demands for beauty, traditional cosmetics can no longercompletely meet people’s beauty demands, more and more people concentrate not onlyon beauty itself, but also on healthy beauty. With its unique drug safety andnon-allergenic, cosmeceuticals has begun to be adored by the consumers.One is the comparison of Chinese and French cosmeceutical market systems viatax and surveillance systems: the Chinese government’s acknowledgement didn’t keepup with times, viz. the government still considers cosmeceuticals as luxuries with a30%consumption tax. This tax turns the prevalent product into expensive one, which impairsChinese cosmeceutical market’s development. According to the comparison ofsurveillance system, our cosmeceutical market is under several administrations thatended up causing some loopholes such as management not on time and of differentstandards, a waste of resources. The other is the comparison of the structure of Chineseand French cosmeceutical markets. The other is the comparison of Chinese and Frenchcosmeceutical market structure via the ratio of market concentration, the consumptiondemand and scale. This interprets that60%of our cosmeceutical market has beenaccounted for by foreign enterprises, and our consumption potential is huge. So, thefuture development room is enormous for native cosmeceutical enterprises.This article makes a general analysis of the current situation of the cosmeceuticalmarkets, making use of market research-qualitative and quantitative analysis method,and interprets that China’s cosmeceutical industry will meet the internationalcosmeceutical industry in ten years. This article first estimates Chinese cosmeceuticalmarket’s development via macro and sales angles, and then analyzes qualitatively therationality of the obtained results according to the development of cosmeceuticalenterprises in recent years. Based on the rationality analysis, the article points out that the future development of the Chinese cosmeceutical market needs several things to bedone: to improve relevant laws and regulations; to erect a good brand image; to increasecustomers’ awareness of cosmeceutical products; to play the price advantage for nativeenterprises; to enhance technological level and innovation capability for nativeenterprises.
