With the speeding up of urbanization process, rapid population growth, sharp reductionof water and other non-renewable resources, heavily damaged ecological environment, urbanecological system is faced with enormous pressure and severe challenges. Constructingecological city, protecting the human ecological environment and realizing the sustainabledevelopment of cities, have become the common voice of the human, and are also the futuredevelopment direction of a city. Xi ’an as an important city which western development isimplemented,in recent years, the urbanization level is enhanced unceasingly,and economicgrowth is also rapid, however, ecological problems such as air pollution, water pollution isincreasingly highlight, so realized the ecological city and sustainable development areurgently need to solve the problem.Thesis’s goal is to explore building ecological city of xi ’an, on the basis of a largenumber of research, and analyzes further present situation of the xi ’an eco-city development,at the same time, by using the theory of ecological carrying capacity, analyzes the ecologicalconstraints and put forward xi ’an ecological city construction’s goal; Guided by the Systemtheory idea, explores xi ’an eco-city system’s structure and components, and correlations werecleared between elements by association argument; Xi ’an eco-city system internal causalfeedback relations between elements were studied by system dynamics method, then built thexi ’an eco-city system dynamics model. and then, according to the xi ’an eco-city constructionand combining with the practical situation of xi ’an, set four construction path, selected forsimulation range from2011to2020, the xi ’an eco-city system are simulated under differentpath so that get the main variables and the subsystem simulation results, comparing thesimulation results, finally chose the economy-environmental protection coordination path as the optimal path of xi ’an eco-city construction; According to the principle of selection indexsystem of ecological city construction, establish evaluation system suitable for xi ’an, andbuild the extenics evaluation model, Under the four paths to measure level of xi ’an eco-citydevelopment, get xi ’an eco-city construction reached a good level in2020under theeconomy-environmental protection coordinated developmental path,; From three aspects aseconomy, resources, environment and protection policy, put forward the corresponding policyrecommendations, and to ensure the smooth progress of xi ’an eco-city construction, the earlyrealization of the ecological city.The results of this study has a certain practical significance for Xi’an ecological cityconstruction, at the same time, the research mentality and the method in this paper has certainreference value for the study of other social and economic environment.
