The Effect Of Infrastructure On Export Sophistication

The level of infrastructure plays an important role in economic development，it relates toissues such as a country’s production and development of enterprises，the quality of residents’lifeand social welfare. After thirty years of reform and opening up, the level of infrastructuredeveloped by leaps and bounds, transportation, energy, communications and other infrastructureindicators are leading in the world. Meanwhile, China’s foreign trade has also been a rapiddevelopment，it has become the world’s second-largest trading body, the technical level of theexport products has also been strong growth.China’s export commodities has changed from aprimary products to finished goods, the leading export products from a single resource and textileproducts gradually to points and high-tech export product diversification.The level of infrastructure promoting economic growth，the rapid economic growth bringsthe huge foreign trade，and then in the same period the links between the infrastructure and foreigntrade also exist.However，the technical analyses of the impact between infrastructure and the Ievelof foreign trade still remains a new area，it has’t established a relatively complete and authoritativesystem of theoretical and empirical in the influences of the problem in a more in-depth expertiseresearch. More than that, the infrastructure level of the various regions of China is a hugedifference, whether the infrastructure level in different regions of China has a strong practicalsignificance to improve the technical level of the export trade is also a question.This paper introduces the concept of the export sophistication index, citing provincial data tostudy the technical content of the product. While taking four economic infrastructure indicatorsthrough theoretical and empirical analysis, on the perspective of enterprise heterogeneitytheoretical, systematic study of the effect of economic infrastructure investment on the technicallevel of the export trade to the decisions of the government departments to provide a reality frameof reference. We find that the higher the level of regional transportation infrastructure, the higherthe level of export trade; energy infrastructure facilities in developed areas than significantunderdeveloped areas, and to enhance the role of the communications infrastructure of thetechnical level of the export trade of the developed areas than the rest of obviously, the urbaninfrastructure to enhance the role of the technical level of the export trade is not obvious.
