A Study On Export Sophistication And Its Influence Factors Of China's Hi-Tech Industry Based On Provincical Data

After decades of rapid development,China's economy has been developing rapidly and the size of manufacturing and trade in goods have jumped to the world level.At the same time our country's export products structure changed significantly,mainly in the export of high technology industry is rising.However,we also clearly recognize the high technology industry in our country although in some areas have considerable international competitiveness but as weak overall strength.Mainly manifested in the key core technology and high-end equipment high external dependency,high-end equipment manufacturing industry and producer services development lag and the independent innovation ability is insufficient.The foreign capital enterprise exports of high technology industry export proportion makes our country failed to really improve the export of high technology industry sophistication.The law of the People's Republic of China on the 13th five-year plan for national economic and social development program also pointed out in the field of foreign trade to foster new advantages in technology,quality as the core industry,strive to build China's high technology industry.Therefore the high-tech industry is of great significance to China's positive transformation of economic development model.This paper reviews and collates the concept of export sophistication,the construction of export sophistication index and the influence factors of export sophistication.As for sophistication of china's high technology industry exports,we understand as the industry's exports of all products combination technology content and the labor productivity of china's high technology Industry exports.Influencing factors are summarized as independent innovation and external technology transfer and tries to illustrate the influence of various factors on the export of sophistication mechanism.But there are no corresponding theory about sophistication of exports,so attention to sophistication of exports index has evolved from the comparative advantage,the theory based mainly on the comparative advantage theory and the development of this theory.Then,the status of export trade of high-tech industries in China is described qualitatively and quantitatively.This article uses the Hausmann model to estimates sophistication of china's high technology industry exports and 5 kinds of hi-tech product with 2000-2015 data of 30 provinces in China as samples.Then analyses the different regional development of high technology industry in our country and the trend.The high technology industry as a whole positive changes along with the development of the time.From the point of breakdown products computer and office equipment and communications equipment products export sophistication is well ahead of pharmaceutical products,aerospace and medical equipment products,namely the high technology industry in our country have structural imbalances.To be sure,the export sophistication of pharmaceutical products increased by 6.4 times in 2015 compared with 2000,and the export sophistication of aerospace products increased 9.2 times.From the segment in the province,the eastern region is superior to the mid and west,especially in Beijing,tianjin,jiangsu,Shanghai and guangdong area development process sophistication and export growth momentum is superior to other provinces.In order to study the influence factors of export sophistication better,try to learn the empirical research from our country's famous scholars zhu shujin to build the model of framework.Put capital,research and development,human capital,FDI,import of high technology products and service factors into the model of the development of the financial variables and measurement results show that the internal knowledge gains(R&Dand human capital),external knowledge acquisition(FDI&high technology products imports)as well as goverment factors are helpful to promote the export of the product sophistication.Finally,we found FDI is superior to the domestic independent innovation effect.For the provinces,thanks to the benefits of both independent research and innovation and foreign technology eastern province's export sophistication has been growing so rapidly in the last 15 years.The results show that the central and western regions have not benefited from external technology for nearly 15 years.It is essential that we should promote the balanced development of high-tech industries in the east and western regions and it is very important to open up the inland areas.Through analysis,we conclude that external technology transfer and internal innovation are both significant to the export sophistication of China's high-tech industries.On the one hand,China should take advantage of the international environment and introduce foreign and foreign high-tech products actively.On the other hand,on the basis of relying on independent innovation ability to improve export sophistication,we should pay more attention to the digestion,absorption and re-innovation of imported technologies.Only the ability of the nation to hold its own can support China's steady standing in the international tide and keep moving forward.In addition,the eastern coastal cities should drive other provinces and to radiate surrounding city high-tech industrial park gradually.Promoting regional industry information sharing and cooperation in east.Finally focusing on regional coordinated development and then the high-tech industry has a healthy interaction and thriving scene in the whole country.
