| As China is a country with extensive resources, resource-based enterprisesoccupy an important place in the national economy. Resource-based enterprises of ourcountry which are in the process of constructing and developing, especially largestate-owned resource-based enterprises, are the major supply bases of China’senergy and raw materials, have made a great contribution to China’s modernization.With the development of the society and economy, environmental issues andresource issues become increasingly evident, and the sustainable development ofresources and environment has become a focal issue of common concern. In thiscase, the resource-based enterprises’ development mode of burning forests forhunting has been unable to meet the requirements of sustainable development of thesocio-economic environment; if businesses cannot be timely restructured, they willinevitably face the risk of obsolescence. Therefore, this paper explores problems ofdevelopment mode of resource-based enterprises’ transformation to obtain thesustainable development of enterprises and society, and to solve the problems ofexhausted mine and failing enterprises among resource-based enterprises, at thesame time to realize optimization and upgrading of China’s industrial structure. Andthe topic of development mode of resource-based enterprises’ transformation will getextensive attention from the community.Centering on Restructuring development of resource-based enterprises,combining with methods such as the literature review, case studies and empiricalresearch, based on summarizing the research results of predecessors ontransformation of resource-based enterprises, this paper comprehensively analyzesand summarizes the basic theory, combines with the successful experience of thetypical foreign resource-based enterprises’ transformation, analyzes from differentperspectives about problems of development mode of resource-based enterprises’transformation, and how to find a suitable enterprise transformation mode of themselves. Finally, this paper selects Yunnan Copper Industry Co., Ltd. which isa representative type of large state-owned resource-based enterprises of China, anddeeply analyzes it hoping the transformation mode of Yunnan Copper Industry Co.,Ltd. can provide a good reference for the development of resource-based enterprises’transformation in China.Based on reviewing predecessors’ research results, deeply doing research intodevelopment mode of large resource-based enterprises’ transformation, this paperintroduces "the most suitable development mode of transformation". The definition of"the most suitable development mode of transformation" is any enterprise has thedevelopment mode which is only suitable to its own development, and there is nobest mode or general pattern mode. When large resource-based enterprises select theirown suitable development modes of transformation, they should take a new path ofsustainable development which is form low technology to high technology, fromextensive growth pattern to intensive growth pattern, from self-development tocooperative development, from the simple working type to innovatively learningtype, from developing non-renewable resources to renewable resources. Selectingthe transformation mode must be based on actual situation of the resource-basedenterprise such as regional environment, regional economic development level,industrial structure policy of the government, stage and scale of the development ofenterprises’ mineral resources; at the same time, we must grasp making the specificanalysis of specific issues, suiting one’s measures to each enterprise and localconditions, keeping pace with the times, actively transforming mode, practicingdiversified development strategy and principle of seeking foreign aid, therebyexplore a path of sustainable development which is suitable to its own actualconditions. Furthermore, in the process of transformation, no matter what kind oftransformation mode we prefer, we should consider a series of factors whichinfluence transformation: developing of non-resource-based enterprises;establishing an effective management system of resource-based enterprise;concerning the organizational structure adjustment of resource-based enterprises;developing the related diversified industries and paying attention to them whether meet the requirement of the local economic development or not when we adjust theindustrial structure, also needs to pay attention to the development of the localeconomy and industry; attaching importance to technological innovation andpersonnel training; concerning the ecological balance and environmental protection;emphasizing common prosperity between enterprises and region; and developingregional economy where the enterprise is located, etc.The shortages of this study are having no further research in such issues as thecost of the transformation of the large resource-based enterprises, and how to selectand develop the new industries;collection of reference and data is very limited,thisstudy cannot update the data timely and lacks quantitative analysis tools inmethodology,etc. All of these should be further improved and perfected in the futurestudy and research. |
