The Research On Development Of Clean Energy In Xinjiang On The View Of Low-carbon Economy

In the background of the global climate warming, environmental pollution which areserious increasingly, to develop the low-carbon economy, and to limit greenhouse gasemissions have become the consensus of the world. The development of low carbon cleanenergy is of major significance for Xinjiang. First of all, in the Copenhagen Conference,China pledged that China’s carbon intensity in2005drop40%-50%by2020; Xinjiang isChina’s twenty-first Century energy base, to strengthen the research and to develop the cleanenergy favor sustainable development Xinjiang,also which can help the maintenance ofnational energy security and economic development; Secondly, the features of Xinjiangindustry structure is dominated by heavy industry, especially raw material and energy industry,the proportion of the national heavy industry is to below the level of Xinjiang; Third,Xinjiang’s energy structure is not reasonable, so far, the energy structure is still dominated byfossil fuels, and the ecological environment in Xinjiang is vulnerable, The development ofclean energy, can reduce carbon dioxide emissions and the destruction of ecologicalenvironment, also it can promote the development of Xinjiang low carbon economy and havevery important sense to the construction of harmonious society in Xinjiang, at the same time,also provide a strong guarantee for Xinjiang’s political stability and national unity.This paper from the low carbon economic point of view, research and analyze Xinjiang’sclean energy, including solar, wind, hydro and biomass. The paper uses the PEST method, aswell as through the analysis of Xinjiang energy consumption structure, development of cleanenergy, clean energy demand forecasting, it is conclusion that it is necessary to develop theclean energy in Xinjiang, at the same time, on the base of the overseas developmentexperience of low carbon energy, the paper put forward the suggestions and countermeasureson the development of clean energy in Xinjiang.
