In recent years, the number of Internet users grows at a high rate. TheInternet is still a new industry in China, but there is a very prominentperformance on domestic industry in China. Along with the development ofInternet technology and the internet marketing concept, the importance ofinternet marketing (also called Online Advertising) is increasing. Withcharacters of low-cost, information-sharing, interactivity, real-time, no limitof time and space, Internet began to phase out traditional media, such asnewspaper, broadcast, TV and so on. Social Network Service (SNS), as oneof the most extensive internet marketing tool, starts to play an important rolein people’s life.The aim of this paper is, from the point of view of a marketing worker’swith medical background, to study the influence of Social Network Service (SNS) on healthcare industry. Be the most successful social website inhealthcare industry, DXY.com is taken as a real example to be analyzed. First,the development process of DXY.com is stated. Second, the profit model andmarketing position are discussed. Third, the problems of DXY.com aresubmitted. Afterward, based on combining the trend of SNS marketing, thefuture of medical marketing and the advantaged of DXY.com, somesuggestions are provided for healthcare SNS itself in China. One purpose isto improve the level of professional SNS of China, the other purpose is topromote the development of healthcare industry marketing and also toimprove China’s medical environment.
